「信じる人は幸いである」

ヨハネによる福音書　20:26-31

皆さんはイエス様を、
本当に心から信じて教会に来られているのでしょうか？
私達が教会に行くのはイエス様を主人として、
救い主として、
信じて行っているのです。

イエス様は、御自身に従い、悟り、
イエス様に似て行く弟子達になる事を
望んでおられます。
今日の聖書の箇所は、
イエス様が復活され弟子達の前に現れたという場面です。
トマスという弟子は、
その時居合わせなかったので信じられませんでした。
私達もイエス様を信じると言いながら、
目に見える現実的な事に捕われて
おごりたかぶり生きているのではないでしょうか。
「トマスは言った。『あの方の手に釘の跡を見、
この指を釘跡に入れてみなければ私は決して信じない。』」

見て、触ってみなければ信じられなかったのです。
イエス様は時空を超えて姿を現せられ、
「あなた方に平和があるように」と言われました。
イエス様は平和の王であります。
トマスは見てから信じました。
見て触れて信じる幼い信仰から見ないで信じる謙虚な心、
へりくだった心、純粋な心で受け入れる幸いな器を持った者となりますように。
